 This
trek is named because, it involves only four days of trek reaching
an elevation of 3360 meters / 11,020 ft., and offers an opportunity
to visit villages, monasteries, fortresses and temples. The package
is designed for those who just wish to have two to three nights
of camping with altitude not exceeding 4000 meters.
ITINERARY:
DAY 01: KATHMANDU
– PARO - THIMPHU
Arrive Paro, Bhutan. Your Bhutanese escort from Lingkor Tours
& Treks will greet you on arrival, and then drive to the capital
city, Thimphu (54 Kms) at 2,500 mtrs. Dinner and overnight at
the hotel.
DAY 02: THIMPHU
- PUNAKHA
After breakfast drive to Punakha, enroute visit Chimi Lhakhang,
Punakha Dzong. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 03: PUNAKHA
- BUMTHANG
Drive to Bumthang, enroute visit Wangdue Phodrang, Chendebji Chorten,
Trongsa Ta Dzong and other places of interest. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 04: SIGHTSEEING
IN BUMTHANG
Full day sightseeing of Bumthang Valley, Visit, Kurjey Lhakhang,
Jambay Lhakhang, Tamshing and other places of interest. Overnight
at hotel.
DAY 05: TOKTU
ZAMPA – NGANG LHAKHANG
Begin your trek to Ngang Lhakhang (Swan Temple) 12 Kms, 4-5 hours
of hiking. Overnight at Camp.
DAY 06: NGANG
LHAKHANG – UGYEN CHOLING
Trek to Tahung, 16 Kms, 6 hours of hiking. Overnight at Camp.
DAY 07: UGYEN
CHOLING – BUMTHANG
Trek for about 3 -4 hours and you will be met by your car. Drive
to Jakar. Overnight at Lodge.
DAY 08: BUMTHANG
– TRONGSA
After breakfast visit some of the places that you had missed on
the first day of arrival in Bumthang Valley. Resume your drive
to Trongsa, enroute visit, Tsugney Village, Domkhar Dzong. Overnight
at hotel
DAY 09: TRONGSA
– PHOBJIKHA
After breakfast visit Trongsa Ta Dzong and drive to Phobjikha,
visit Gangtey monastery and Phobjikha Valley. Overnight at Camp.
DAY 10: PHOBJIKHA
- THIMPHU
Today we will be hiking around the village taking pictures of
the beautiful valley, the rare black necked-crane (during winter)
and the superb traditional village houses. After Lunch we will
resume our journey to the capital city. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 11: THIMPHU
SIGHTSEEING
Visit King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, Dupthop Lhakhang ( Monastery
for the nuns), National Library, the painting school, traditional
Medicine institute and other places of interest. Overnight at
Hotel.
DAY 12: THIMPHU
- PARO - KATHMANDU
Early morning drive to Paro for departure to Kathmandu and transfer
to Hotel.
